Senior Product Manager, New Business Location: Madison, WI Description: This is an exciting opportunity to have responsibility over major product lines of a fast growing, branded consumer products company. We are seeking an individual with enthusiasm for product development to work with overseas suppliers on sourcing and developing our lines line of InStep and Schwinn brand baby joggers and bicycle trailers, as well as PlaySafe brand backyard play products. This position directs design improvements and product changes and works to bring new products to market efficiently and cost effectively. This position makes frequent visits to Asian suppliers. Requirements: The qualified candidate will possess: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering. Understanding of overseas sourcing and supplier purchasing procedures. Experience in a product development and/or product management role to include successful product launch experience. Experience working with national retail accounts. Understanding of the new product development process. Effective communication skills. Knowledge of marketing principles. Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word and Outlook. Must be able to work in a team environment.
