King of New York - [Mongoose] McCann King of New York New York City, NY -- July 29, 2006 -- 2006 is the tenth anniversary of the premier Pro/Am BMX Freestyle Competition in New York City, The King of New York? -one of the longest running bicycle stunt competitions in the world and the only one of its kind in New York City. Team Mongoose rider Steve McCann was on hand to have a go at the King of New York title. Steve was having a great time flowing around the fun and technical course. He put in a solid qualifying run to put him on the top spot going into the finals. During the street finals Steve McCann found some good original lines throughout the course and matched with the amazing tricks he pulled, there was no way around it that he would go on to grab the win. Stevie said that this was won of the most fun contests he has been to in quite a while. He was happy to win but he was most impressed with the positie vibe and good times all the riders were having. << Back to List Back to Top |
