Schwinn Gives Hope - [Schwinn Scooters]
Madison, WI -- August 01, 2006 --
Schwinn Motor Scooters and Seattle scooter dealer ?The Scooter Gallery? recently awarded Jeanne Wolf-Tagliente, cancer survivor, with a 50cc Schwinn ?Hope? motor scooter. Wolf-Tagliente?s name was drawn at the awards ceremony at the conclusion of Seattle?s ?Race for the Cure.? 15, 000 participants took part in the event, raising more than $1.5 million for breast cancer research.Schwinn?s ?Hope? model is a pink, 50cc scooter, and a portion of Hope model sales go to raise awareness and support research of breast cancer. Schwinn coordinated with the Scooter Gallery?s Alex Sargeant and Melinda McBride for coordinate the prize. ?This is the second Schwinn scooter we?ve given away as a prize,? said Sargeant. ?Last year we gave away a Schwinn ?Campus? model (to a different organization). Schwinn?s an excellent company to work with.? ?We are proud to have worked with the Susan G.
